Birth doula support, at home or in the hospital

A doula is not there to run your birth. She is there to make sure you and your partner never face it alone.

Support starts around 25 weeks with prenatal visits, a birth plan built around your choices, and evidence-based resources so you know your options. When labor begins, we come to you and we stay, with no time limit, whether your birth takes six hours or thirty-six.

Every family gets on-call support by text and phone, a postpartum visit, and a backup doula plan.

Homebirth midwifery, unhurried and evidence-based

Complete prenatal, birth, and postpartum care in the comfort of your own home, following the same evidence-based schedule as any provider, with far more time and presence.

Every visit is a full hour, at your home. Labs and ultrasounds follow the standard schedule and are billed to insurance. From 37 weeks your midwife is on call, attends your birth with a trained assistant and the equipment to keep you both safe, and stays until you are settled and resting.

Postpartum care means six home visits through week six, not one. If a transfer ever becomes the safest choice, your midwife goes with you.

No pressure, no commitment

Tell us a little about you and your due date, and we will reach out within one business day to set up a free consult. It is a conversation, not a sales call. We will answer your questions, walk through what support could look like, and help you decide whether a doula, a homebirth midwife, or both is the right fit for your family.

Serving the South Shore and Greater Boston. Labor support available 24/7.

Doula and midwife under one roof

A calm, steady presence changes a birth. We bring it, and we help you find your own.

Doula and midwife under one roof

You're not standing on the sidelines

Doula and midwife under one roof

One relationship can carry a family from hospital doula support to full homebirth care. That is rare on the South Shore.

No time limit on labor support

You're not standing on the sidelines

You're not standing on the sidelines

We have stayed through 16-hour labors and 36-hour labors. We stay until your baby is here, and every family has a backup doula plan.

You're not standing on the sidelines

You're not standing on the sidelines

Partners sometimes worry a doula or midwife will take their place. The opposite is true. We help you find your role and take the pressure off so you can be present with the person you love.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at hello@edenbirthservices.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. Our doulas attend births at home and at hospitals across the South Shore and Greater Boston. Homebirth midwifery care is for births at home, and your midwife goes with you if a transfer is needed.

Many of our clients do. A doula supports you before, during, and after an epidural, helps with positioning, keeps your partner involved, and stays with you through pushing and the first hours with your baby.

For healthy, low-risk pregnancies, planned homebirth with a trained midwife and a clear transfer plan is a well-supported choice. Your midwife brings monitoring equipment, medications for hemorrhage, oxygen, and neonatal resuscitation equipment to every birth, and has established relationships with local hospitals. We will talk honestly about whether homebirth is a good fit for you at your consult.

We stay. Whether that means a long labor, a transfer, or a cesarean, your doula remains with you and your midwife accompanies you whenever possible. A change of plan is a change of setting, not a failure.

Every family's needs are different, so we walk through packages and pricing at your free consult. Payment plans are available, and midwifery labs and ultrasounds are billed to your insurance.

Absolutely. We help partners find theirs. Our job is to support both of you, not to replace anyone.

For doula support, most families book in the second trimester, though earlier is never a problem. For homebirth care, reach out as early as you can so prenatal visits can begin in the first trimester.
