Rophe Mason
From an early age, Rophe was drawn to birth work and the beauty of the experience. Rophe is passionate about advocating for couples and giving them the education they need to make informed decisions to take charge of their births. She believes strongly in the beauty and strength of a women's body and its intended design for birth.
When attending births, Rophe brings her experience of endurance sports into her work. The notion that our bodies are created for more hard and holy things than we often realize. Rophe finds purpose in supporting mothers in their journey to find strength and the ability to do hard things with dignity and peace
Pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding have always been a welcomed conversation. Through her own, and very different, children's births, Rophe's passion for helping mothers during this sacred experience find their voice and dignity was ignited.
Rophe has three children, she is an avid runner & triathlete. Her and her husband, Paul, have treasured their birth experiences and the balancing act that parenting brings into their worlds.
Melissa Fuccillo
Melissa’s earliest memory of delighting in the birth process was as a child visiting the Science Museum. She remembers watching videos, one of a mother dancing in her labor room, another surrounded by her young family, while another escaped into a birthing pool to focus inwardly. It was not until Melissa became a mother herself that she realized just how empowering the birth space can be.
Melissa & her husband, Matthew, live on the South Shore with their four children ranging from age 7-14. They enjoy doing life with their extended families, friends and church community.
A passion of Melissa's is photography. Over the past two decades photography has allowed her entrance into people’s lives. It was while photographing a friends birth experience, that she began thinking about how she could return to the birth space with practical tools to support laboring mothers.
As a doula, Melissa desires to bring calm and compassionate care to mothers while they experience one of the most intense yet miraculous mysteries of life.
sophie kweon
Growing up in an environment where labor and birth weren’t discussed, all of young Sophie’s birth knowledge came from movie scenes which depicted women in anguish, helpless to their suffering and stripped of their dignity.
Later in life, a midwife shared a documentary with her which captured a beautiful water labor that not only birthed a baby, but brought forth an empowered and confident mother. This revelation sparked Sophie’s passion to equip mothers to believe in their innate ability to give birth in all its power and beauty.
By replacing a fear-driven mindset with a confident one, birth can be welcomed as a natural and positive experience. Sophie brings a peaceful and encouraging presence, leading with affirmation and a non-judgmental yet informed approach to her practice.
Sophie and her husband, Aaron, dream of starting a family of their own soon. They enjoy doing life with their church community, love to cook and enjoy good meals, play pickleball on the weekends, and are currently learning how to garden.
Amy Callahan
Amy’s path into caregiving began at a young age. Her compassionate care led her to pursue healthcare and complete her RN. Since 2009 Amy has been working professionally and has provided services that span from infant to elder, including those with disabilities.
Her history in healthcare and caregiving has provided her with an understanding and sensitivity of supporting individuals through various stages of life. Amy's exposure to encouraging and assisting moms with diverse pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences brought to light how very valuable support is through these times.
By offering her support as a doula, Amy aims to bring peace, strength, and empowerment to mothers and their partners, while also acknowledging the potential feelings of being out of control and overwhelmed during this time. Amy looks forward to joining you on this unique, transformative, and rewarding journey!
