Doula services begin around 25 weeks or sooner through text & phone support. Through 1-2 sessions we will get to know you, your desires and your vision for your birth.
We help design a birth plan together, letting you know your choices (but not providing medical advice).
During labor & delivery we are there to support and serve you and your birth partner (in person or virtually due to COVID restrictions). We provide mental and physical support, comfort measures and advocate for you.
Our heart is to capture your glorious birth experience as it unfolds so that you can enjoy it for years to come! Our doula services can include birth photography.
Birth photography is handled by doula trained photographers. The duality of their experience gives them comfort in the birth space, and birthing parents comfort in their presence.
We will always do our best to protect the peace and serenity of your birthing space.
Our team will meet with you virtually to better understand your desires for your Labor & Delivery. As part of our birth support services we know meeting virtually can be more convenient and comfortable.
We will inform you of birth options and provide information for questions you may have. We share ideas of how your birth partner can remain connected, helpful and advocate for you during labor & delivery.
Following our session, we will draft a personalized birth plan for you to use during Labor.
New baby. New Normal.
Our role is to help ease the transition to life at home through our birth support services. Light house-work, companionship, child-care for infant while you rest and other support can be provided through hourly sessions. We help adjust siblings to the new normal & provide support in the transition for all members of the family.
There is no shame in needing help adjusting to new normals & rhythms. We strongly believe in the work counseling does for families as they adjust after birth and beyond.
Patti Woods has over 35 years in mental health counseling, she is located in Hanover. Her experience with counseling, motherhood and work as a doula gives her insight into how to support you in this new season.
We are here to support you in your breastfeeding journey. This is an important part of doula services that we provide.
We will work with you to get you comfortable with breastfeeding, talk through any concerns and provide helpful tips and positioning.
Sessions can be done in person with hands-on consulting or virtually, if preferred.
